Excellent, when it works.
Yes, the machine does make fantastic coffee, in very quick time, but in my experience 1 in 5 pods is duff. The pressure builds up too high, the machine cuts out and refuses to work for 15 minutes – by which time it has been quicker to go downstairs and use the old fashioned kettle. I have been through 2 machines, and 30 or so pods with this problem, so if you ARE lucky enough to own a fully functioning machine, congratulations. I envy you.
If you don’t yet own one then my advise is to approach with caution, you MAY be disappointed.

What a coffee machine
What a coffee machine, great machine, makes great, quick coffee, easy to clean, looks great in the kitchen and pods are cheap and easy to buy.
One of the best purchases i’ve made. I would recommend this to any coffee drinker.

Use it every day i love it
After reading other reviews i went for it.It is so easy to use and the coffee is always hot , my children love the hot chocalate. I look forward to comming home after work and have a great tasting cup of coffee in seconds. If you are thinking of getting one go for it, i think you would love it as much as me, and Amazon are still the best price i have found.

An excellent purchase! Quick and easy to use I was enjoying my first cup of coffee in minutes! Its only downfall is that the pods are quite expensive! Excellent coffee anytime!!!

Good machine!
It’s a great machine. Simple to use when you’re still trying to wake up from an all nighter trying to get the kids to go to sleep.

The coffee is decent but the machine is crap.
I’ve owned one for a year and I have the same problems as P. Holloway. It is a pitty but all the Krups products I have bought suck.
If you drink espresso mainly, get a nespresso instead. Way better.

I can’t believe some of the reviews here, i use this daily and ive used hundreds of pods with not a single problem. It produces great coffee everytime and it is quick and simple to use. It is a little nosiy but i can live with that.It comes with a great starter pack and it can be picked up for around £60 in the right places. There is also a loyalty scheme were you can purchase pods or accessories to go with your machine.

I’ve generally been quite pleased with my machine; it has given nearly two years of fairly faultless service. It has however expired this morning which is what prompted my visit here. Reading these reviews, i’m not sure whether I’d be better of replacing with a Nesprosso instead; both my Sister and my Parents have Nespresso and are very pleased with them. One of the selling points for me had been that the capsules are available in the supermarket but i’ve noticed this not to be quite the case..

We have 3 of these, 1 original, 1 new and now the Picolo to take up less space in the kitchen. Never had a problem with any of them. Buy the pods on-line because there is more choice and if you spend £35 postage is free. I don’t understand the bad reviews either, have they complained and if so with what result?

I bought this when they first came out and it is fantastic! still going strong and have had no problems with the machine or Pods!! I would recommend it.

I have just bought the standard version, looks like an alien puppy! Yes, I have experienced the pressure build up in the pods, and the puppy isn’t best pleased, and goes in a huff. I suspect the pods may well differ in manufacture, the pressure build up is needed to burst the bottom of the pod to release the drink, however if the membrane is too strong or thick the pressure is inadequate. I have taken these troublesome pods and punched a small hole myself, I refuse to let the pod win! In the case of some users experiencing long term pod failure, I wouldn’t be surprised if the pressure is compromised, i.e. perhaps he is in need of a good clean and descale following use in a hard water area? Thus restoring good flow and pressure, and thereby puncturing the pod membrane. Overall though, makes nice coffee.

My girlfriend has had 2 of these machines, both have broken, second one within 6months! both had leaking problems, second one wouldn’t puncture capsules. Would not recommend this product & will be buying her a different make for xmas!!
