Fantastic!!
I was looking for a reasonable espresso machine with milk frother for making lattes/cappuchinos at home. I work in a coffee shop and know what good coffee tastes like. I did buy a cheaper machine but it was terrible so it went back. I am very impressed with this machine, you get a lovely crema on your espresso, just like the proffesional machines, and the milk frother works splendidly, gives a very nice firm froth that lasts.
I would recommend this machine to anyone, its very simple to use, and not noisy at all like some others, yes you hear the pump for a few seconds but its quite quiet, would have been nice to have gotten a jug with it but can pick these up cheaply!

Pleasing coffee machine
We bought this for Xmas, very pleased with the looks, and quality taste of the coffee, we use beans from Cafe Nero which we visit on a weekly basis. Had some teething problems, machine seemed to leak from obscure places but that has now stopped. the only other negative is that when you turn off the coffee dispenser switch whilst waiting for the frother to heat up, coffee keeps dripping from the filter, not a major issue but I agree with another review comment, there does seem some quality control issues, but I dont want to get rid of this machine, the coffee taste is excellent, easy to use, looks the part and good value for money without breaking the bank, overall pleased with it.

Stop looking for the best coffee shop . . . you have it here!
After purchasing this for my Father for Christmas I just had to have one.
This product is very simple to use (due to the limited number of controls) and the results are everything you would expect from any good coffee shop. If you like a nice lasting crema on your coffee this is for you.
The milk steamer is good also, producing a firm foam. This is also excellent to use to make hot milk drinks.
If drawing water off for tea or instant coffee, you will find the temperature much cooler than a kettle but prduces are ‘ready to drink’ temperature.

Excellent Machine
Recently purchased the EC270 from Amazon UK following numerous problems with an old coffee machine (well known Italian manufacturer starting with ‘G’). The EC270 arrived last Monday and has been performing extremely well ever since. Excellent coffee with a superb ‘crema’ that matches anything you will see in top High Street coffee houses. The steam nozzle also produces good quality foam on the milk.
I would like to stress the importance of washing all components and the water container etc before you use the machine - also ensure that you ‘flush’ the system several times before making your first coffee - the instructions guide you through this procedure.
A previous owner reported leakage problems from the water tank - just make sure that you locate the base of the tank correctly and ensure that the base seal is secure and you should not have any problems - my unit has not leaked at all.
A final piece of advice - make sure you ‘tamper’ the coffee correctly and then make sure the filter holder handle is pushed well over to the right when you prepare coffee - this will ensure a great ‘crema’ every time.
Top marks for this machine - it performs better than some machines 2 to 3 times more expensive.
